Privacy policy

A o K Bookkeeping (ABN 17 088 655 384) collects personal information only so that we can respond to your enquiry and provide bookkeeping services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Through this website we collect the name and mobile number you give us, and optionally your email address, business name and whatever you tell us in the message field. If you become a client we will collect the financial records needed to do your bookkeeping.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to provide the services you engage us for. As registered BAS agents we are also required to keep certain records for legal and regulatory periods.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We use service providers to run this website and our customer records, and where required we deal with the Australian Taxation Office on your behalf. We do not send client work offshore.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept while there is a reasonable prospect of doing business and for a reasonable period after. Client records are kept for the periods required by tax and BAS agent obligations, generally at least five years.

Security

Records are held in access controlled cloud systems. Nothing on the internet is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email admin@aokbks.au or call 0429 966 813. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy complaint you can escalate it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

This site uses only what it needs to function and to understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful. It does not build an advertising profile of you.
